El Paraiso was designed by Gary Player and opened in 1973. It was bought by its members in 1993 and has undergone many improvements and refinements over the years. It is an extremely beautiful course, both in its location and its layout, with mature groves of exotic plants and trees.
Set in a spectacular valley which rolls from the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja mountains towards the sea…there are several streams meandering throughout the course as well as 2 large lakes, which require a good drive to make safe landings on the greens.
The 6th is a dogleg left Par 5, with bunkers either side and one of the lakes to the right. The tiered green requires an accurate approach. Play is suitable for all abilities; with a good mix of long and short par 5’s, par 5’s that can be achieved in 2 and Par 3’s of varying distances.
