Son Antem West is a championship course which opened to much acclaim in 2001. It is 6,293 metres in length from the white tees and is set in truly spectacular surroundings with the “Randa” mountain as a backdrop.
Narrow fairways, surrounded by woods and undulating greens, are the order of the day on this challenging layout. Laid into typical Mallorcan countryside, the course itself is free from residential development.
The course has large tee boxes and two lakes that come into play on four of the holes. The 5th hole is one of the most interesting, a par-4 with a dogleg to the left, which calls for an accurate second shot over an undulating approach onto a raised green surrounded by pot bunkers.
